NOTICE: Our next Buddy Training 101 has not been scheduled!
Contact Stephanie Randolph to register.
I want to help, but I have NEVER done this before!
No problem! There is no previous experience necessary. If you have a loving heart and a willingness to serve, we will equip you to be a Buddy friend to a VIP kid. You must also be at least 14 years of age.
What do I need to do?
First, come and visit one of our Buddy Break locations to see our program in action. Once you have experienced it, you can decide how you would like to get involved.
I’m not good with kids. Is there anything else that I can do?
Definitely!
How will you prepare me to be a Buddy?
Please see the 2014 Schedule tab for current information.
Can I serve at more than one location?
YES! Once you have gone through training, you are now a part of our Buddy Break network and are able to help at any of the Buddy Break locations, even in other states.
Contact a Buddy Break Coordinator, Stephanie Randolph, NOW to make your reservation for training!

- Maybe you are not able to care for kids, but you could be a part of our Buddy Team that cares for moms and dads. This Parent Concierge Service assists families in practical ways and might be just the place for your help. Your women’s group, men’s bible study or youth could come up with a creative way to serve these families.
- Perhaps you would like to be involved in a Sibling Program in which you are a Buddy to siblings of VIPs and help facilitate special activities.
- Possibly being a friend to a caregiver is what will be your greatest way to help.
How will you prepare me to be a Buddy?
- You will be required to attend a Buddy Training 101 class, which is approximately 2 hours in length. Please fill out the Buddy Application prior to training, you can access it in two ways:
- To fill out your application in our secure, online database, click here.
- To download and print the application in PDF format, click here. If you choose this option, be sure to bring it with you to training!
- Your information will be passed through a background check and when approved, you will be contacted by the location Coordinator, Stephanie Randolph.
- At each Buddy Break you will be given a folder about the child that you will be spending your time with that day. Each folder contains confidential information that will assist you in your interaction with this specific VIP kid. There are times when you may be asked to in another role at Buddy Break.
